Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"The food, wine, service and overall atmosphere was absolutely fantastic! We loved this restaurant so much that one evening when we booked a table at another restaurant, where we just didn't feel right from the moment we came in, we spontaneously came here again. Even though Osteria was fully booked, their team was so lovely to find us a table. Having another great evening here, only confirmed that our decision to come back here again was the right one. Can't wait to go back to Rome and dine at this restaurant again"
"Came here for our wedding anniversary, the restaurant was small but the waiters were very attentive and helpful with meal choices. Highley recommended"
"We were fortunate that our relative recommended this restaurant and glad they did. FYI: be sure to make a reservation. We ordered a full course lunch since it was our honeymoon after a busy day prior. We ordered Negroni and Aperol spritz which was good. Our meatballs and fish croquettes were good. We ordered some pastas. The amatriciana was really good. The orecchiette had some smoked cheese which is ok if you like that. We a great wine with our meal as well. As you can tell, everything is "good" lol so I highly recommend this place. The place overall had a cool, chill vibe to it."
"As you can imagine, there are countless ristorantes and osterias in Rome. To make sure we didn’t end up with a disappointing meal, we did quite a bit of research before deciding on Osteria La Quercia — and it turned out to be the perfect choice. We ordered amatriciana, cacio e pepe, and carbonara, the so-called Roman Holy Trinity of pasta dishes, and each one was cooked to absolute perfection. Every dish we had was delicious. We finished with a tiramisu, which was made with a slightly salty touch and chocolate pieces instead of the usual ladyfingers — I absolutely loved it. It was honestly one of the best tiramisus I’ve had in Rome. I highly recommend this place. It’s a charming little restaurant tucked away in a lovely piazza, far from the tourist crowds."
"They accommodated me even without a reservation. The service was great, and the food was well worth experiencing. The place is in a small alleyway, so don’t be discouraged if it gets quieter as you approach. I ordered the amatriciana and the carbonara, and both were delicious."
"A really lovely and authentic restaurant away from the touristic crowds. We loved this little osteria serving authentic dishes. We ate here two nights during our visit and it was always excellent. We especially loved the rombo and ossobuco as well as the carbonara - they were all excellently prepared and delicious. The staff were also attentive and helped us no end in selecting a good wine to go with our dishes. Inside the atmosphere is cosy and eclectic. Recommend!"
"Nice restaurant in a cozy location, steps away from Campo de’ Fiori square. Quality food well prepared and staff always available even though they were quite busy. Costs maybe high, I always compare the price of a bottle of water. 3,50€ has a quite high mark up. We will come back anyway, definitely recommended."
"Absolutely amazing! The food, the wine, the staff, the cosy atmosphere- they all deserve 5 stars! Always worth going back, it never disappoints!"
